The Hope Heart Institute is a non-profit cardiovascular research and education institute with a 50-year history of revolutionary medical advances and educational curricula that makes heart disease - America’s No. 1 cause of death - more treatable, beatable, and preventable.
The mission of the Hope Heart Institute is serving humanity through cardiovascular research and education. They are dedicated to preventing and treating heart and blood vessel disease, and to improving the physical, emotional and spiritual quality of life for all at risk of - or affected by - cardiovascular disease.
HOW MRS. WASHINGTON AMERICA CONTESTANTS CAN HELP
Throughout the year, pageant contestants help raise money to support the research and heart disease education efforts of the Hope Heart Institute. Contestants also attend events throughout the Puget Sound area and are especially focused on raising the visibility of how heart disease affects women, ways to prevent it, and how to recognize the symptoms of a heart attack, because the symptoms are different for women then for men.
ANOTHER WAY YOU CAN HELP
Go to www.firstgiving.com and then enter the name of your favorite Mrs. Washington America Pageant contestant into the search function. This will bring up the contestant’s fundraising page where you can donate money to the Hope Heart Institute. All proceeds go directly to the Hope Heart Institute and are tax deductible.
